If land has been exclusively
occupied for a requisite number of years (this depends on the
circumstances) the person occupying it can make an application
to HM Land Registry to have the land registered in their name.
In order to be successful, the application must be accompanied
by convincing evidence, which meets specific criteria set out
by HM Land Registry.
